Our Mission and Values
Legacy Bible Church exists to glorify God by loving Him with of all our heart, mind, soul and strength, loving others as ourselves and leaving a legacy of Jesus Christ in the world.
The Bible
At Legacy, we affirm that the Bible is authoritative and inspired. It is by the word of God that people come to faith in Jesus Christ and it is the word of God which is central to our understanding of who God is and how we are to live in relationship to Him and one another.
People
People are important at Legacy. Really, people ARE Legacy. Every person is created in the image of God and designed for a relationship with Him. It is our desire to be used by God as He draws people to Himself and then conforms them to the image of His dear Son. We love every person and believe all are precious in the sight of God.
Discipleship
Equipping the saints for the work of the ministry is one of the primary objectives of Legacy. Every believer is supernaturally endowed by the Holy Spirit to effectively participate in the ministry of God's work in the world and the life of the church. It is our desire to see every person experience the joy of growing in the faith once for all handed down to the saints and fulfilling their God-ordained purpose.
Family
At Legacy, we desire to be used by God to help build and strengthen the family. We believe it is the family structure which is the primary training ground for providing a godly worldview and values in children. It is our hope to be used in the power of God to help equip parents and children to glorify God in their relationships in, and out of, the home.
Fellowship
Being involved in one another's lives in the family of God is important to Legacy. Real fellowship is more than sharing a meal together; it's loving and caring for one another in real time as we live out our common faith and purpose in this world and in the church.
Prayer
We know that prayer is what moves the powerful hand of God. God has given us the gift of prayer so that we can be used by Him to accomplish His will. It is not an avenue for us to change God, but for Him to change us.
Praise
Legacy loves to praise God! It is the natural expression of the believing heart to desire to offer praise to God. He is worthy and righteous and our worship is filled with praise for what He has done, what He is doing, and what He will do to glorify Himself.
